Dr. Dan Vespa graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1996. He completed his residency in Philadelphia working with a Glaucoma and Retinal specialist. Dr. Vespa has worked closely over the years with Dr. Tayfour, Dr. Emara, and Dr. Fiander and specializes in LASIK eye surgery management, Low Vision services and Custom Contact Lens fittings, including RGP lenses. As a proud father, Dr. Vespa focuses on educating patients and health care professionals on the importance of children’s eye exam starting at 6 months of age and annually there after. He also is an active participant in the Eye See Eye Learn Program, which provides quality eye exams to Junior Kindergarten students and quality eyewear to those in the program who require vision correction. Dr. Vespa serves as an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists. He maintains a full scope optometric practice in Tecumseh ON. He is fluent in English and Italian.
Dr. Monica Wryk
Dr. Monica Wryk graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelors in Biological Science Degree. She holds a Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, a school known for its clinical training and state of the art technology. She completed her rotations focusing on each aspect of optometry; Contact lenses and Low Vision at the Illinois Eye Institute, Vision Therapy and Paediatrics at the Vision Center in Wisconsin, Hospital and Advanced Care at the Detroit Veteran Affair Hospital in Michigan, and Advanced Care, Geriatrics, and Dry Eye Care at the Mid Florida Eye Center.
Dr. Wryk currently practices in Tecumseh ON and also holds an American License to practice Optometry. She is an active member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometry and the American Optometric Association. She is fluent in English, Polish and Spanish.
Dr. James Boutros
Dr. James Boutros completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Windsor. He then went on to complete the Doctor of Optometry degree from Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. His education at the Michigan College of Optometry was mainly focused on primary care optometry, with additional emphasis on specialty contact lenses and binocular vision. During his optometric education he completed clinical internships at various sites for extensive training. These rotation sites included the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan for training in treatment and management of advanced disease. Henry Ford OptimEyes in Troy, Michigan for extensive training in vision therapy, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease. Lastly, Dr. Boutros performed an internship here at Vespa Vision Centre for training in primary care optometry and paediatric eye care. He also had additional training in performing low vision examinations and managing patients with chronic dry eye. Dr. Boutros is licensed to practice optometry in both Ontario and Michigan and is an active member in their respective optometric associations.
