This book was a pleasure to read in every way. Though it was a story of a very sad time in human history, with the onset of the holocaust, it was filled with the wonderful attitudes of people with the highest of values. It is a story of man coming to the rescue of fellow human beings, while they risked their own lives to do so. Corrie Ten Boom, as a result of her spiritual values, went on to become God’s caregiver and messenger for her entire life. In this day of negative tales of injustice, I found it wonderful to be able to read about someone so dedicated with by gone values. She practiced the values of family unity and loyalty to all those in dire need of help from others. I recommend this book for so many of the sound values it shares with the reader. I will not forget reading this wonderful book.

This book although short is packed with a powerful message.

This book although short is packed with a powerful message. Elie Wiesel was sent to the concentration camp at a very young age and survived. At age 15, his captors told him he was 18 and separated him from his mom and sisters. This book details his life in the camp as well as surviving until it was liberated. It’s a hard read, but I think it is a book everyone 16 or over should read.

This was an exceptional book. The true story of a wonderful woman Corrie ten boom, and her sister, as well as her family.
At a time in history (the Holocaust) she was a brave and courageous woman. This was a real page turner and I highly recommend this book.

A woman with a wonderful story

I had the privilege of meeting and hearing Corrie Ten Boom many years ago at a church we attended. Her stories were fearsome, yet inspiring. Often I’ve remembered her vitamin oil bottle that seemed unendingly full, until they no longer needed it. She and her sister Betsie had indomitable spirits as they were interred at Ravensbruk during World War II.

If you have never read this book before or if you read it years ago, as I did, you will enjoy reading it. full of God’s miracles!

This is one of my very favorite books, and I wanted a copy to send.

This is one of my very favorite books, and I wanted a copy to send as a gift to my sister. She loved it too,
and she is lending it to her friends. What heroes Corrie ten Boom and her family are to me! They counted
it a blessed privilege to help the Jews survive during the Nazi occupation of Holland during WW II. An
exciting and amazing true story!

WWII True Drama

What an awesome book! Read this probably close to the time it came out. about 30 years ago. Anyhow, I didn’t remember much of it, so was like reading a new book. Very captivating. Here, she had fallen in love with a man, but he was not allowed, by his parents, to marry down. He came from a rich family. Corrie threw herself into her work. Taking care of her family. Helping as a watch repairman. Then came the awful day when the Germans took over and started exterminating the Jews.

She became a big part of the underground. She was arrested. Lost many of her family during the occupation. But,she came back. All that she did afterwards is amazing. Her feelings during her imprisonment. very human. You can relate.

I knew I would learn from reading the story of Corrie Ten Boom but I did not anticipate how much of an impact it would have on me. Corrie was a doer and she did the Lord’s work by helping the persecuted survive be they Jews or fellow Christians. The subplot is the story of Corrie learning from her sister just how big our love must be if we are to truly please our God in a Jesus like manner.
I encourage everyone to read this book. I have ordered the movie. Post script – have a Kleenex ready as it is a tear jerker.

I have really enjoyed this book so far

I have really enjoyed this book so far. It is about a young dutch woman that lived during the war and the holocost. This true story tells about the people and the lives then and includes photos. I recommend reading this book if you enjoy history as well as a person always finding the good, even in evil. I cannot talk too much without giving it all away.

This is a great book. It is not for young children, as it is about behind the scenes life in Europe during WWII. But it is valuable learning for the rest of us. Corrie Ten Boom offers her experience and hope in this story of her difficult journey through the Nazi concentration camps. I have read this book several times over many years and I always take away something new from it.

Be still my heart. This book is amazing and it touches you down to your soul. Most people know the horrors of WWII but this is a great book that brings you into Corrie’s life and her testimony is powerful. I am a better person for reading her story and I often think of her as I walk through life. I took the time to write down some of the most powerful and courageous quotes. I am so glad my daughter is reading it now.

Let the Lord change your life through the testimony of one of His faithful servants!
