The candidate must talk with their dissertation consultant to go over research goals, timeframes, and scheduling of the dental defense. If the outdoors readers has been considered included in the dissertation committee, the candidate’s department must complete and sign the Dissertation Readers Approval Form to incorporate in the candidate’s graduation file. Just before scheduling the doctorate dissertation defense, three dissertation readers, one that may be the candidate’s consultant, must approve the dissertation for defense.

Preliminary Dissertation Filing Steps

An applicant must upload their dissertation to Proquest through the preliminary dissertation submission deadline. The preliminary dissertation submission is going to be reviewed for adherence towards the formatting needs. not content. (The dissertation consultant oversees content review.) When the preliminary dissertation is reviewed, the candidate will get an e-mail notification that details formatting changes that should be made before final submission
Final Dissertation Filing Steps
The candidate is suggested to accept Consultant Approval Form . the Title Page (reflecting the month and year of graduation: September, The month of january or May), doctorate thesis dental defense form and also the readers sheets (gsas.nyu.edu/page/grad.pp.manual ) towards the dental defense. The candidate must obtain signatures in the Chair from the dissertation committee and dissertation committee people.
