Arizona Mystery Authors Jim Martin Memorial Story Contest

Congratulations to the 2016 winners. The following contest starts March 1, 2017.

The annual story contest for 2016 runs from March 1 to June 1, 2016! Anybody can enter &#8211 and anybody can win! Submit your short story in mystery, suspense, or thriller style. Records may depend on 2500 words (about 10 double-spaced pages). It’s lots of fun along with a good exercise of the ability as a copywriter.

Deadline. June 1, 2016. That date will sneak in for you, so start sketching your opinions!

Fabulous Prizes. $200 for First, $100 for Second, and $75 for Third. PLUS winners get a certificate of acknowledgment in the club, admiring applause in the awards lunch, your win announced within the newspaper, your winning story published around the AMW website, and validation like a author.

How you can Enter. Some contest needs have altered. Begin to see the Contest Needs for the state rules. The entry fee is just $15 per story, and you may submit several story if you want. Records are judged “blind,” that’s, with no idol judges knowing who authored the tales. Everyone is equal prior to the panel of idol judges! The official Entry Form must accompany each submission. That’s the way we connect your company name for your story. The Entry Form will come in PDF and RTF formats.

Publication: Contestants support the for their work. We all do, however, require that people be permitted to write the winning records on the website. Tales will stay on the website for around annually (before the the coming year’s winners are printed). By submitting your admission to the competition, you’re granting permission with this publication.
