We’re a nationwide leader within the education of primary and niche medical service providers so we participate in leading edge research to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. The UW Division of Discomfort Medicine provides both inpatient and outpatient consultation and strategy to acute and chronic conditions at 5 locations:

At all these facilities, an inter-professional group of specialists provides comprehensive discomfort management services with a focus on:

  • Prevention concentrates on patient education and evaluating the chance of developing chronic discomfort after injuries, surgery, trauma, or perhaps a disease
  • Precision diagnosis of possible reasons for discomfort by hearing the individual’s story and taking advantage of target-specific treatments while identifying obstacles to recovery.
  • Goal-setting. which always includes the individual and their support system
  • Patient education and promotion of healthy way of life changes
  • Effective treatment by utilizing guidelines and measures of progress
