Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) would be the College of Malta (UoM) undergraduate and postgraduate theses or dissertations prepared as text-based PDF files. ETDs are available in the UoM Library portal HyDi, the Library’s online catalogue and also the Institutional Repository OAR@UoM. Up to now, there are several 4,000 ETDs available.

Typically, the Melitensia Department housed an array of theses and dissertations relating to postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes. Dissertations not posted towards the UoM Library were locked in various departments around campus. In 2008, the UoM Library initiated the E-dissertations pilot project. Embargo of Dissertations

An embargo of the thesis/dissertation is understood to be a delay within the discharge of the thesis/dissertation for any specified period of time.

The College of Malta permits the embargo of the thesis/dissertation underneath the following conditions:

1. The security of knowledge of business value in order to honor a pre-existing contractual agreement.
