Department: Architecture and Landscape

A 2.1 or 1st Class degree; this can be in any discipline, although a related subject is an advantage; some experience of working in the industry would also be useful; interview; applicants whose 1st language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.

Assessments consist of a wide range of methods, including essays, reports, seminars, laboratory exercises, a group field trip project, presentations, a dissertation and a conference paper.

Modules include: Analysing and recording historic buildings; building defects and pathology; conservation economics; conservation legislation; design and historic environments; European project; historic and sustainable building materials; regeneration; research modules: research concepts for the built environment; research proposal for dissertation; dissertation; conference paper.
