Quarter One Learning Targets

September 5 – November 11 (a 3 week period)

LT1: I’m able to describe the variety among Indigenous Peoples, including the way they altered with time, and just how they interacted with Europeans.

Assessment: Essay or Google Slides Presentation evaluating and contrasting two or more Native American Regions. DUE 10/4

LT2: I’m able to describe why the American colonies made the decision to interrupt from The Uk and the introduction of the Usa like a new nation.

Assessment: Test 10/26

LT3: I’m able to let you know that the recently founded U . s . States altered through territorial expansion, social and political reforms, and technological advancements.

Assessment: Five paragraph essay on most important/influential occasions/inventions from 1800-1850. DUE 11/3.

Quarter Two Learning Targets

November 14 – The month of january 26 (20 Days)

LT1: I’m able to explain the disagreements between your Southern and northern states, how individuals disagreements brought towards the American Civil War.

LT2: I’m able to explain the entire process of emancipation for enslaved Africans during and following a Civil War.

LT3: I’m able to describe Renovation Policies that unsuccessful and individuals which were effective and also the impact they’d on relations with indians, and just how they fostered a time of Imperialism.

LT4: I’m able to describe of Progressive Era Policies addressed social, political, and economic inequalities.

LT5: History Day I can produce a History Day project together with a rough draft, revisions, along with a final draft, together with a correctly formatted annotated bibliography with a minimum of 30 sources. along with a comprehensive process paper.

Quarter Three Learning Targets

The month of january 30 – March 31 (a 3 week period)

LT1: World war one, the Roaring 20s and Great Depression I’m able to let you know that World war one led to the economical boom from the 1920s and just how that boom brought towards the Great Depression.

LT2: Great Depression and New Deal I’m able to let you know that the brand new Deal addressed the truly amazing Depression and eager the U.S. for World war 2.

LT3: World war 2 I’m able to let you know that World war 2 affected the U . s . States across the country, militarily, socially, and worldwide.

LT4: Cold War I’m able to explain the Cold War and also the various proxy wars also fought against at that time, and U.S. reactions for them.

LT5: Secret War I’m able to explain the reasons and results of the key War in Laos.

April 10 – June 9 (20 Days)

LT1: Social Movements I’m able to explain the roots, obstacles, tactics and legacies from the different civil legal rights movements.

LT2: The U.S. within the New Global Age I’m able to let you know that the U.S. has tried world matters because the finish from the Cold War.

LT3: The U.S. within the New Global Age I’m able to differentiate between immigrants and refugees and describe how immigrants and refugees have led to U.S. society.
