When you’re prepared to submit your thesis/dissertation please bring the next documents for your host to submission either in Exeter or Cornwall:

  • two signed copies of the thesis/dissertation (yet another copy may be required if three examiners happen to be hired)
  • a completed Submission Form signed by you and your Supervisor

Please be aware, students aren’t needed to submit an english Library Doctorate Thesis Agreement Form.

Before submitting, please make sure that your jobs are printed and bound within the correct format. Detailed information are available in the Studying – rules and rules portion of our website.

In case your Board of Examiners was already hired your thesis is going to be published for them immediately. Your Internal Examiner will contact you soon after to go over the plans for the viva voce exam.

In case your examiners have yet to be hired, or perhaps your Exterior Examiner continues to be requested to sign a confidentiality agreement just before receiving your thesis, there might be a delay between your submission of the thesis/dissertation and also the date it’s published for examination.

Council Tax

If you’re registered like a full-time postgraduate research student, you remain qualified for Council Tax exemption until the first year of continuation status (writing up) has transpired or else you have posted the first thesis for examination, whichever is earlier. From here onwards you’re responsible for Council Tax charges. Please visit the Exeter City Council website for rules associated with Exeter Council Tax exemptions.

Streatham and St Luke’s Campus

If you’re studying on either our Streatham or St Luke’s Campus, please submit your thesis/dissertation and completed submission form towards the SID Desk, College of Exeter Forum, Stocker Road.

Cornwall Campus

If you’re studying on the Cornwall Campus we’ve made plans that you should submit in your area. You need to bring your thesis/dissertation and submission documents towards the Registry, Academic Support Unit (ASU) and they’ll arrange so that it is introduced to the Postgraduate Administration Office in Exeter.

Submission by publish

If you’re submitting your thesis by publish it is recommended that you utilize a recorded delivery service. Please send the thesis to Postgraduate Administration, College of Exeter Doctorate College, Room 106, Old Library, Prince of Wales Road, Exeter, Devon, EX4 4SB and email PGAdmin@exeter.ac.united kingdom whenever you publish your projects. We will show you when they get it securely.

Resubmission of the Thesis/Dissertation

If you’re re-submitting your thesis/dissertation for any second examination please submit the revised copies towards the SID Desk in Exeter or even the Academic Support Unit in Cornwall plus a new submission form (see links above).

You must also pay a resubmission fee either to the SID Desk or even the Student Finance Office in Cornwall. Information on the quantity to become compensated is going to be confirmed after the first examination.
